Our elders provide big-picture direction and congregational care, are nominated and confirmed by the members of the church, and are held to the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9. Our staff acts as the boots on the ground for day-to-day ministry, and is comprised of men and women who take seriously their Ephesians 4:11-16 mandate to equip the body to live as disciples who love and obey Jesus. Feel free to email any of them by clicking their picture below.
I grew up in New Jersey before coming to Illinois to go to Wheaton College. I graduated from Wheaton in 1999 with a degree in Communications and Bible/Theology, and later got a Masters at Wheaton in Biblical Studies. But the most important thing that I found at Wheaton was my wife Carrie, and we were married in January 2000. Carrie and I have three children - Madeline, Jackson, and Emily, and a dog named Shea. I was blessed to work at Glen Ellyn Bible Church as the Youth Pastor for 5 years and as the Adult Ministries Pastor for another 5 years. In February 2010, we left Glen Ellyn Bible Church, moved our family to Downers Grove, and started Four Corners. This has been an amazing journey and we can't wait to see what the future holds.
In my free time, I love to play golf, watch sports, relax on our hammock, and most of all, play with our children. I look forward to getting to know you; send me an e-mail and we can set up a time to grab coffee and talk about life.
Scott joined Four Corners Community Church as our Associate Pastor in 2019, bringing twenty years of church ministry experience, including roles as student pastor, young adult pastor, and as pastor of small groups. Scott has served with churches in his home state of Arizona, and since 2008, in the great Midwest!
At Four Corners, Scott’s primary role is to oversee the Sunday morning worship experience, building worship teams and leading us in worship. He also enjoys teaching the congregation when the opportunity arises. In addition, Scott works with other staff members to ensure a strong team approach to ministry.
Scott and his wife, Katie, have four children (Amelia, Scotty, Mac, and Sam). A graduate of Arizona Christian University and Phoenix Seminary, Scott has a BA in Christian Ministries, and an MA in Biblical Leadership.
I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and my husband, Mark, grew up in the Cleveland area. We've been married for almost 25 years. We have two wonderful boys, Nicholas 19, and Douglas 16. We live in Downers Grove and just love our town! We enjoy going to car shows, monster truck shows, and NASCAR races! And of course, we love FCCC!
It was a dream come true when we first learned of FCCC planting a church right in our area! Our church has such a strong sense of community. I so love that! We love how warm and genuine everyone is and we just adore our neighborhood group! It is also such a blessing to watch our boys grow and be part of this church family! It is both an honor and a blessing to work with such amazing people at FCCC! Oh yeah, and I'm a crazy dog lover!
Caleb joined Four Corners in the Spring of 2019. He is currently attending Trinity Christian College studying for his Masters of Divinity. Caleb grew up going to youth group and had different leadership roles and internships throughout that time. Caleb has a big heart for the youth of today and is looking forward to helping them in their walk with Christ. Caleb is best when he is doing what he has been called to do…loving students for Jesus Christ!
Wendy joined our staff as the Children’s Ministry Director in September 2019. She comes to FCCC with years of experience working as a Children’s Director, Summer Curriculum Developer, Theatre Director/Producer, & Leadership Developer/Team Builder.
Wendy is excited and looks forward to using the gifts God has given her to work closely with, encourage, help equip, and support the Parents and CM Leaders so together they can all pour into the future generations of the Church. “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Wendy & her husband Rick have been married for over 25 years. They have three amazing adult children (and a terrific son-in-law) Vince, Lucy (Charlie), and Rosie. Their family loves working closely with the Special Needs Community, spending time together, & adopting rescued dogs.
